Tirtagangga park is one of the attractions that are located in the village Ababi, Abangdistrict, Karangasem. The distance is about 5 km to the north of kotaAmlapura and was built in 1948 by King Anak Agung Ketut Agung Anglurah Karangasem.Prior to construction, the park is a large fountain area and the public to call withembukan, meaning spring. Spring is enabled by pnduduk from surrounding villages as a place to look for drinking water purification and place pesiraman or Betara Ida (the gods), and therefore sacred spring by local residents.
From this springs Karangasem later King got the idea to build an even more because of its natural park is supported by the cool air, which later was named Tirtagangga Park.Similarly, the Taman Ujung Soekasada, then Tirtagangga Park has a strong attachmentto the Puri Agung Karangasem.
In the park area there are several large ponds Tirtagangga which functioned as fishponds and baths. Water flowing through fountains large and small that come out of the mouth of the sculptures in this pool comes from the fountain so that was cool andrefreshing. In this place there are fountains and statues tower lotus-rise that separates the two large ponds.
At the present time Parks Tirtagangga function religiously, socially, as well as entertainment. Religiously, the spring in place is used as holy water for the community
